I am Emma or Em if you would like. The picture below is from one of my walks, I tend to walk a lot which you probably will become aware of if you stick around. I decided to start 365evermore 2014 when I had decided to change my lifestyle into a much more healthy one. The goal was to make a permanent change that will last a lifetime, not a quick fix but instead a genuine lifestyle change that would help me lose weight, become stronger, increase cardio fitness and hopefully make me fortunate enough to dodge a whole lot of bad things that can happen to me unless I take great care of myself and the body I have been given.
Professionally I have a background in the Ethnographic field of qualitative research, thus I have an academic background (BA/BSc/MA) in culture and gender studies and I love the arts- and social science field with a passion. However, due to currently living expat life I decided to change my career path and am currently studying a BSc in Psychology. Reading and writing are most loved activities of mine, and it does not matter much if it is scientific journals or fictional stories, I simply love it all. The written word is profoundly powerful and can be used to influence and initiate changes in peoples thoughts and doings, but it can also be used as a fantastic source of inspiration and that is what 365evermore is all about. I am on this journey towards a better lifestyle and I am sharing my ups and downs with the world, hoping that there are others that can find some joy or encouragement in the knowledge that it is always alright to start over. And that it is never too late to decide that ‘my journey is starting today’ and subsequently make the change to become a healthier individual forever more. One day at a time, one year at a time and then for a lifetime – 365 days of the year.
